Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the entire finance function for a key manufacturing site in Mooresville, North Carolina. You will own all accounting operations and act as a strategic partner to the executive team in a stable, growing medical device business.

Structure Medical is a privately-held contract manufacturer of high-precision medical implants, instruments, and cutting tools for the orthopaedic and spine markets. Founded in 2004, they are a trusted tier-one partner to many of the world's leading medical device OEMs, known for their expertise in complex manufacturing and engineering.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of the finance function at Structure Medical's Centre of Excellence for complex implementation in Mooresville. You will not just be managing the numbers; you will be a vital strategic partner to site leadership, shaping financial processes and mentoring a team within a secure and expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and audits.
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial processes.
• Act as a key strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing financial insights to guide decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the site's finance team, fostering a culture of high performance.
• Ensure full compliance with all financial regulations, industry standards, and reporting requirements.

What You Will Bring

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• At least eight years of senior-level accounting or finance experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of five years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Deep expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and working with modern ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical abilities combined with first-class communication and leadership skills.
• The ability to work full-time from the Mooresville, NC facility.

Nice to Have

• An MBA with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
• Previous experience within the medical device or contract manufacturing sectors.
• Experience managing finance for a multi-site organisation.
