Job description

Beech Valley is building a pipeline of experienced interim Controllers based in the Greater Los Angeles area to support upcoming consulting engagements. These roles will partner with high-growth and enterprise clients on a variety of accounting initiatives, ranging from close optimization to technical accounting and audit support. Engagements will require onsite work in the Los Angeles, CA area. These are 1099 contract opportunities, typically requiring 40hrs/week.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors
• Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams
• Provide hands‑on leadership to accounting staff and client stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibility
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing close processes in complex environments
• Prior consulting or project-based experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with major ERP systems
• Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA

Nice to Have

• Experience with system implementations or process transformations
• Background in public accounting
