Job Summary

This position, reporting to the General Manager, is accountable for leading the Finance team in managing financial and accounting policies, systems and processes, internal controls, tax and regulatory requirements, payroll processes and controls, financial reporting, and annual business planning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the operations of the finance department, including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, government and regulatory reporting, and costing.
  • Interview, hire, train, and evaluate finance department employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; address complaints and resolve employee issues.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, activity reports, financial forecasts, variance analysis, and annual budget.
  • Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly approved, recorded, depreciated, and disposed of in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee the management of leases, contracts, and other financial commitments in accordance with company policy.
  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors to provide information needed for annual audits and to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Ensure financial reporting is prepared in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Maintain an internal control environment in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and company policy guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate completion of payroll.
  • Review product costing and analysis of product profitability and future job pricing.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including pricing, capital investments, and contracts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
