Nease Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Accounting Controller in North Carolina to lead the accounting function and report directly to executive leadership. The role drives operational excellence across the full financial lifecycle, from AR/AP oversight to budgeting and internal controls.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize cash flow, ensure accurate job costing, and provide strategic financial analysis to guide the company’s financial future.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and mentor the accounting team, overseeing AR and AP functions, workload distribution, deadlines, and high service standards.
• Spearhead customer invoicing, payment applications, collections on past-due receivables, account reconciliations, and AR aging reporting to optimize cash flow.
• Oversee vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, expense coding, account reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies to protect vendor partnerships.
• Monitor cash flow requirements and balance collections with disbursements to maintain liquidity.
• Establish, enforce, and maintain internal controls, approval procedures, and documentation standards across financial transactions, ensuring tax and accounting compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations and project teams to streamline billing, ensure accurate job costing, and document project expenses.
• Oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, monthly/year-end closes, financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and insurance providers.
• Offer actionable financial analysis and executive recommendations based on AR/AP performance metrics and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Department Leadership: Direct and mentor the accounting team, overseeing all Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, workload distribution, deadlines, and high service standards.
• AR & Collections Management: Spearhead customer invoicing, payment applications, rigorous collections efforts on past-due receivables, account reconciliations, and AR aging reporting to optimize cash flow.
• AP & Vendor Relations: Oversee vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, expense coding, account reconciliations, and the swift resolution of discrepancies to protect vital vendor partnerships.
• Cash Flow & Liquidity Strategy: Actively monitor cash flow requirements, balancing collections and vendor disbursements to maintain robust company liquidity.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish, enforce, and maintain stringent internal controls, approval procedures, and documentation standards across all financial transactions, ensuring full tax and accounting compliance.
• Operational Collaboration: Partner closely with Operations and project teams to streamline customer billing, guarantee accurate job costing, and properly document project expenses.
• General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, monthly/year-end closes, financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and insurance providers.
• Strategic Advisory: Deliver actionable financial analysis, AR/AP performance metrics, risk assessments, and executive recommendations to company leadership.
