Job summary

Orion Placement in Indianapolis seeks a senior finance leader to manage general ledger, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and month-end close, reporting to the CFO. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 6+ years in accounting and finance, 3+ years in public accounting, and multi-site manufacturing experience.

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. The role partners with executives on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives, strengthens internal controls, leads ERP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Experience in multi-site manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems proficiency.
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau/Sisense/Qlik) is a plus.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, cost accounting, revenue recognition, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, and month-end close.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
  • Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Lead annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Drive ERP enhancements, financial reporting improvements, and automation.
  • Support treasury, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team.

  • Drive ERP enhancements, financial reporting improvements, and automation initiatives.
  • Support treasury, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead a high‑performing accounting team while improving processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Experience in multi‑site manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
