Primary responsibilities of the Controller role:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions and manage property accounting team
• Develop and improve accounting processes and procedures
• Ensure accurate financial reporting for properties and investment funds
• Manage financial statement audits and tax return preparation
• Assist CFO with monthly financial reports and budgeting processes
• Provide staffing evaluations and recommendations for the accounting team

Primary qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management
• Experience in real estate or property management accounting preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems, preferably Yardi and Avid
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
