Overview
The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborating with department heads, this role will drive budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a roll up your sleeves, hands on role.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial models to support expansion plans.
- Implement and monitor internal control systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee inventory valuation and cost accounting for multiple product lines, collaborating with production and supply chain teams.
- Coordinate annual audits and AHRI certification financial reviews, serving as primary liaison with external auditors.
- Manage cash flow projections, working capital optimization, and banking relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing role.
- Must have SAP
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting for private companies.
