Beacon Hill is seeking a strategic Controller to lead the accounting and finance function for a manufacturing organization in Horsham, PA. You will manage month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while partnering with executives to drive performance and continuous improvement.

The role requires 8+ years in accounting/finance, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and CPA preferred.

Position Summary

The Controller will lead the accounting and finance function for a manufacturing organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective business partnership across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance activities, and the development of a high-performing accounting team. The Controller will work closely with executive and operational leadership to support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the organization.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support key business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
• Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and system optimization initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members.
• Support strategic initiatives, capital projects, and ad hoc financial analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting, and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and partner effectively with business leaders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
