Position Overview

Position Overview: A respected member-owned financial institution on East Hawaiʻi Island seeks an experienced Controller to lead its finance team and oversee all accounting operations. This strategic role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient processes that support the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and cash management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and regulatory filings.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts; provide financial analysis to guide decision-making.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls; coordinate audits and regulatory examinations.
• Optimize financial systems and processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
