Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare accounting experience.
• Progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with cost accounting and complex allocation methodologies.
• Ability to analyse large data sets and provide actionable business insights.
• Proven success implementing process improvements and strengthening controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and document accounting procedures.

The Controller will play a critical role in standardising workflows, enhancing internal controls, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting strategic decision‑making through data‑driven financial analysis. Responsibilities
The Controller will be responsible for:

• Leading all day‑to‑day accounting operations and month‑end close processes
• Driving process improvement initiatives and documenting accounting procedures
• Strengthening internal controls and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards
• Mentoring, training, and developing accounting team members across multiple levels
• Managing financial reporting and analysis for a large, multi‑department organisation
• Overseeing revenue recognition and ensuring timely, accurate reporting
• Analyzing historical financial data to identify trends, efficiencies, and business insights
• Supporting cost accounting efforts, departmental allocations, and profitability analysis
• Reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

Required Qualifications
Core Competencies & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare accounting experience
• Progressive leadership experience within accounting and finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with cost accounting and complex allocation methodologies
• Ability to analyse large data sets and provide actionable business insights
• Proven success implementing process improvements and strengthening controls
• Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to work in the details when needed
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Sage ERP systems
• Familiarity with Epic or healthcare‑related ERP/EMR systems
• Experience utilising Power BI, Power Query, or Power Pivot
• Background supporting multi‑location or multi‐business‑unit organisations
• Experience preparing and analysing healthcare cost reports
