A growing company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working independently, managing multiple financial responsibilities, and supporting a growing business.

Salary: Up to $60,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Online, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, sales tax, and general accounting. Candidates with Staff Accountant, Full-Charge Bookkeeper, or Senior Bookkeeper backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Accountant Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Process invoices, customer payments, vendor payments, and deposits
• Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Manage multi-state sales tax compliance across all 50 states, including filings and payments
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation
• Assist with payroll as needed

Accountant Qualifications

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, Staff Accountant, or related experience
• Experience using QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting practices
• Multi-state sales tax experience is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
