Job description

About the Company

Impact Beverage partners with some of the world's fastest-growing beverage brands, helping them scale from emerging concepts to nationally recognized products. Our own growth has mirrored that success—in 2026, we were recognized by the Cincinnati Business Courier as the area's fastest-growing private manufacturing company. As we continue to expand, we're investing in the people, technology, and financial systems that will support the next chapter of our company. We believe strong financial stewardship goes beyond accurate reporting and compliance—it provides the insights, discipline, and operational visibility needed to support smart business decisions and sustainable growth. We're looking for a Financial Controller who enjoys improving financial processes, strengthening internal controls, leveraging technology, and partnering across the organization to deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information. We move quickly, embrace technology, challenge the status quo, and believe continuous improvement is everyone's responsibility. We're looking for someone who is energized by growth, comfortable with change, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited to make a meaningful impact as part of a highly engaged cross-functional team.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for a finance professional who is energized by building scalable financial processes, improving reporting, and creating the operational discipline needed to support rapid manufacturing growth. As Controller, you'll report directly to the Director of Finance and serve as a key business partner responsible for the integrity of the company's financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls. You'll help strengthen the financial foundation of the organization while identifying opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and provide meaningful financial insight to leaders across the business. Success in this role requires someone who is equally comfortable analyzing financial data, improving accounting processes, collaborating across departments, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes while ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and oversee accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop, improve, and standardize accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
  • Collaborate with Operations to improve inventory accounting, manufacturing cost reporting, and operational financial performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory variances, and production performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure tracking, and depreciation schedules.
  • Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors.
  • Support tax compliance activities in partnership with external advisors.
  • Identify opportunities to automate financial processes and improve reporting through technology.
  • Develop financial dashboards and KPIs that provide actionable insight for business leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner cross-functionally to provide financial guidance that supports informed business decisions.
  • Take on additional responsibilities that support the continued growth and success of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Manufacturing or beverage industry experience.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and standard costing.
  • ERP implementation or optimization experience.
  • Experience supporting external financial audits.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit/stand in an office environment and work on a computer most of the day.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment on occasion.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training, workshops, or seminars.
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE when working in the manufacturing facility.
