This role is well suited for an operationally minded leader who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and partnering across operations, supply chain, sales, IT, and senior leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close; deliver timely, accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements; and maintain the integrity of the general ledger and accounting records.

  • Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, reconciliations, and transactional processes.

  • Coordinate the annual audit and support tax and regulatory reporting in partnership with outside advisors.

  • Oversee inventory and cost accounting, including standard costs, manufacturing variances, reserves, cycle counts, physical inventories, and landed costs.

  • Partner with operations to improve bills of materials, routings, work orders, labor reporting, product costing, and inventory accuracy.

  • Improve discipline and efficiency across accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, collections, payroll, and cash management.

  • Serve as a finance leader in the continued optimization of Epicor ERP and related business systems, improving data integrity and process consistency.

  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and profitability reporting that provide greater visibility into customers, products, channels, and operations.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, pricing, capital investment, and make-versus-buy decisions.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while building a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.

  • Approximately 8–15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility.

  • Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or comparable senior accounting leadership experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or other product-based business.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, inventory, and cost accounting.

  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems; Epicor experience is highly desirable.

  • Advanced Excel and management-reporting capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into practical business insight.

  • A track record of improving processes, strengthening financial discipline, and supporting a growing or changing organization.
