Job summary

Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union seeks a Controller to lead the organization’s accounting functions. This onsite role directs accounting principles, practices, and internal controls for fiscal records and financial reporting.

You will oversee general and property accounting, cost and bond accounting, and budgeting, focusing on cost efficiency and opportunity for profit growth. A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s and CPA are preferred, with strong software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; Master’s preferred.
• CPA certification or progress is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge with accounting software required.
• Experience with ALM is a plus.

Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union is seeking a Controller with proven leadership experience and strong technical skills. The Controller d irects the establishment and maintenance of the organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the maintenance of its fiscal records and the preparation of its financial reports. This position oversees general and property accounting, cost accounting, bond accounting, and budgetary control. The Controller appraises operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends, and increased profit opportunities.

This role is for you:

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics with relevant prior work experience. A Master's in Accounting or CPA is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge with accounting software required.
• Experience with ALM is a plus!

Pay Information:

Starting Range: $90,443.95 - $120,000.00
