Job summary

The Richmond Group USA is seeking an onsite Controller in Charlottesville, VA to strengthen and elevate the accounting function for a mission‑driven, multi‑site organization.

This role is hands‑on and leadership‑driven: you will own financial reporting, close, cash flow, budgeting, and multi‑entity accounting, lead a growing team, and implement processes that bring structure, accountability, and consistency across sites.

We’re searching for an onsite Controller in Charlottesville, VA to help strengthen, stabilize, and elevate the accounting function for a mission-driven, multi-site organization.

This is NOT a “sit back and review the numbers” role. We need a strong accountant + hands‑on leader who can step in, take ownership, and make an impact.

What you’ll own:

• Lead and develop the accounting team
• Financial reporting, close, cash flow & budgeting
• Multi-entity / multi-site accounting
• Process and systems improvements
• Bring structure, accountability & consistency

What we’re looking for:

• Proven accounting + leadership experience
• Strong technical fundamentals — CPA not required
• Hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable in the details
• Multi‑site / multi‑entity experience is a BIG plus
• Willing to be onsite in Charlottesville

Experience with hospitality, real estate, property management, public accounting, or other complex operational environments can translate well for this role.
