Job summary

Career Movement is seeking a hands-on Controller for a well-established, multi-site manufacturing organization. You will own the consolidated close, manage the annual external audit, lead product costing and inventory accounting, and guide a small accounting team.

This newly created seat offers real ownership and a stable environment that rewards tenure. The ideal candidate has a CPA, 6+ years in accounting within manufacturing, and experience with multi-entity consolidation and US GAAP

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with month-end close and financial statements under US GAAP.
• Strong costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis capabilities.
• Experience leading external audits from the company side or public accounting background.
• Proven ability to own and develop a small accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Run monthly, quarterly, and annual close for multiple entities and prepare US GAAP financials.
• Lead product costing, inventory accounting, and variance reviews with plant operations.
• Manage annual external audit and audit readiness year-round.
• Coach and develop a team of accountants and analysts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ERP upgrade efforts.

Job description

A well-established, multi-site manufacturer is hiring a hands-on Controller to lead its accounting function. You'll own the consolidated close, the annual external audit, and product costing, and lead a small, capable team. This is a newly created seat in a stable company that values long tenure and gives its finance leaders real ownership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a manufacturing environment (industry or auditing manufacturing clients)
• Hands-on standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
• Public accounting background or experience leading external audits from the company side
• Ownership of month-end close and US GAAP financial statements
• CPA and multi-entity consolidation experience are a plus
