Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function for a stable, growing electrical services organization in Carmel, IN. The role partners with operations, guides a senior accounting team, and provides financial leadership visible to the executive team.

You will own monthly close, budgeting, and cash flow, ensure GAAP compliance, and mentor staff while collaborating across departments to drive performance and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• CPA preferred and experience overseeing an accounting team strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Manage AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis efforts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, develop, and mentor accounting staff while partnering with operational leaders.
