Job summary

Daley And Associates, LLC. is seeking an experienced Controller for an industrial manufacturing client. The role reports to the CFO and combines hands-on accounting leadership with strategic financial oversight to improve reporting, controls and operational performance.

The position emphasizes collaboration with operations, cost accounting, and senior leadership, with a 4‑day in‑office schedule and a base salary of $140K–$180K plus a 20% target bonus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in accounting/finance with leadership experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or operationally complex environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory and cost accounting, GAAP and internal controls.
• Proven ability to improve processes, reporting and systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll and month‑end close.
• Lead financial reporting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Manage inventory and cost accounting, reconciliations and controls.
• Partner with operations to analyze costs, margins and labor.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital reporting.
• Strengthen controls, processes and systems; coordinate audits and tax compliance.
• Lead and develop the accounting team with strategic insights.

Our client is a growing industrial manufacturing company seeking an experienced Controller to oversee its accounting function and partner closely with operations and executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible, hands-on role will focus on strengthening financial reporting, improving processes and controls, and driving operational and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close.
• Lead financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Manage inventory accounting, cost accounting, reconciliations, and related controls.
• Partner with operations to analyze costs, margins, labor, and overall financial performance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems.
• Coordinate audits, tax compliance, and banking requirements.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while providing strategic financial insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including prior leadership experience.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other operationally complex environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
• Hands-on leadership style with strong operational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
