KCG is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Controller to support a portfolio of precision manufacturing companies across the United States, with 50-70% travel and a preference for Orange County, CA.

This role blends accounting, operations, and business improvement, requiring collaboration with plant leadership to improve profitability, analyze cost accounting and manufacturing efficiency, and drive ERP improvements and standardization across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within manufacturing.
• Strong cost accounting and inventory experience.
• Experience with precision manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience partnering with operations and plant leadership.
• Manufacturing ERP experience with listed systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership to improve profitability and operational performance.
• Analyze cost accounting, inventory, labor, overhead, and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial reporting to drive decisions.
• Standardize accounting and operational processes across multiple sites.

Manufacturing Operations Controller

Orange County, CA (Preference) | Multi-Site | 50-70% Travel

We're partnering with a growing private investment group seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Controller to support a portfolio of precision manufacturing companies across the U.S. This is a highly visible role that combines accounting, operations, and business improvement.

What You'll Do

• Partner with plant leadership to improve profitability and operational performance
• Analyze cost accounting, inventory, labor, overhead, and manufacturing efficiencies
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial reporting that drive better business decisions
• Standardize accounting and operational processes across multiple manufacturing sites
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, inventory accuracy, ERP improvements, and process implementation
• Support acquisition integrations and help newly acquired businesses transition onto standardized financial processes

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within manufacturing
• Strong cost accounting and inventory experience
• Background in precision machining, aerospace, metal fabrication, or other discrete manufacturing environments preferred
• Experience partnering directly with operations and plant leadership
• Manufacturing ERP experience (Epicor, JobBoss, E2, Global Shop, Infor Visual, NetSuite, etc.)
• Comfortable spending time on the production floor and traveling to multiple facilities
