Controller

Boston, MA

A growing Boston-based professional services organization is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This newly created role offers high visibility, working directly with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, improve processes, and support continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, AP, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Drive process improvements and lead the QuickBooks to NetSuite implementation.
• Manage external auditors, tax advisors, and banking relationships.
• Build and mentor the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong background in financial reporting, process improvement, and business partnering.
• ERP experience required; NetSuite is a plus.
• Public accounting and/or professional services experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation

• $160,000-$175,000 + bonus
• Hybrid schedule (4-5 days onsite initially, then 3-4 days onsite)
