Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including Controller/Accounting Manager roles.

• Real estate or property management exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually, DOE

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

A well-established Beverly Hills-based property management company specializing in mobile home communities and RV parks is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Controller to take ownership of its accounting and financial operations.

We're looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves, understand the details, improve processes, and provide ownership with accurate financial information to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and managing accounting across multiple properties and entities. Previous experience in real estate, property management, multifamily, manufactured housing, or a related industry is a strong plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations
• Manage and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bookkeeping activities
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounting for multiple properties and business entities
• Maintain accurate property‑level and corporate financial records
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and financial performance
• Review bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure accurate recording of rent and property‑related transactions
• Establish, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting
• Coordinate with outside CPAs, tax professionals, banks, vendors, and other business partners as needed
• Assist ownership with financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
• Delegate responsibilities while remaining willing to work directly in the accounting details
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely completion of financial deadlines
• Support additional operational or administrative functions as needed in a lean organization

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full‑cycle accounting
• Experience managing month‑end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and general ledger functions
• Experience with multi‑entity or multi‑location accounting strongly preferred
• Real estate or property management industry experience is a plus
• Experience in multifamily, manufactured housing, mobile home communities, RV parks, commercial real estate, or similar environments is highly desirable
• Experience with Rent Manager and Bluebook is a plus
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and responsibilities
• Comfortable working directly with company ownership
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to both manage and execute
