Job summary

firstPRO 360 is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. This finance leader will oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate reporting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executive leadership to support growth.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of accounting experience, is a CPA, and brings public and industry accounting exposure; advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience are essential to drive efficiency and reliable

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team with strong processes.
• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end close for timely reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements and analyses.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal control requirements.
• Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and initiatives.

Job description

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. This key finance leader will oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate reporting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executive leadership to support continued growth. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Accounting experience and be a CPA. Public accounting and industry accounting experience is a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while establishing strong processes and accountability.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting packages, and financial analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.
• Partner with executive leadership on financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and other third-party providers.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and financial controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and increase accounting efficiency.
• Support ERP enhancements, automation initiatives, and other technology-driven process improvements.
• Provide guidance on technical accounting matters, complex transactions, and accounting policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing accounting teams.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement best practices, and drive operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems required.
