Job summary

CFS is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a multifaceted project-based organization. You will own WIP reporting, job costing, and performance analytics while guiding a talented accounting team.

You'll drive the company-wide ERP implementation, strengthen internal controls, and partner with project managers and operations to enhance profitability and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Associate's degree considered.
• CPA is a plus.
• Controller experience in construction or project-based industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, WIP reporting, job costing, and project financial analysis processes as the Controller.
• Drive the company's ERP implementation, improve accounting processes, and strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with project managers and operational leaders to provide financial insights that improve profitability and project performance.
• Oversee the daily accounting function, mentor the accounting team, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support executive leadership with financial strategy, planning, cash flow management, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, WIP reporting, job costing, and project financial analysis processes as the Controller.
• Drive the company's ERP implementation, improve accounting processes, and strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with project managers and operational leaders to provide financial insights that improve profitability and project performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred (Associate's degree considered); CPA is a plus.
• Previous Controller experience within construction, mechanical contracting, or another project-based industry.
• Strong background in ERP implementations, budgeting, forecasting, WIP reporting, job costing, and financial analysis.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and drive continuous improvement.
