Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing privately held organization in the Akron/Canton area to identify a Controller. This is a highly visible leadership role within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

You will oversee the accounting function, drive financial reporting and month-end close, manage budgeting and forecasting, and partner with executives to support growth. CPA credentials are welcomed but not required, and a hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience across multiple finance functions.
• Strong financial reporting knowledge and controls.
• Ability to own strategic and operational accounting responsibilities.
• Public accounting, private industry, or both backgrounds considered. CPA welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Lead payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing privately held organization in the Akron/Canton area to identify a Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a highly visible leadership role within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will lead the accounting function while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The organization is looking for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting responsibilities with strategic financial leadership and process improvement initiatives.

The Controller will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities. This role will serve as a key business partner to leadership, providing financial insights and helping support continued organizational growth.

The ideal candidate will have progressive accounting experience, strong financial reporting knowledge, and a willingness to take ownership of both strategic and operational accounting responsibilities. Candidates coming from public accounting, private industry, or a combination of both will be considered. CPA credentials are welcomed but not required.
