Job summary

Bayer Crop Science invites a summer internship candidate to work across greenhouses, growth chambers, laboratories, and field sites in Midwest North America. You will support scientists, engineers, and the Controlled Environment Coordinator with hands-on training and diverse project work.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and rapid learning, with opportunities to contribute to high-quality plant production and data collection while traveling to field locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing agriculturally based or engineering degree with a minimum of 45 credit hours completed.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform greenhouse and growth chamber tasks under supervision per SOP, including planting, pollinating, harvesting, irrigation, and data collection.
• Conduct basic laboratory work using balances, microscopes, and moisture analysis.
• Assist in field preparations and experiments with Scientists and Engineers; organize materials and data.
• Enter data using Microsoft Office and Teams; maintain safety and adhere to protocols.
• Travel with researchers to field locations as needed to support projects.
