Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Control4 Programmer to join our growing smart home and automation team in Tampa, FL. You will install, configure, and commission complex automation systems for luxury residential and commercial projects, and you will program Control4 systems while troubleshooting and calibrating AV setups.

You will collaborate with technicians and homeowners, documenting installations and maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years' experience in Control4 programming and system setup.
• At least 3 years installing whole-house A/V and home theaters.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background screening.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call service.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission residential & commercial automation systems.

• Perform advanced audio/video installations and calibrations.
• Configure and troubleshoot residential & commercial networks.
• Install and integrate surveillance, LED lighting, landscape lighting, motorized shade systems and other third-party products.

• Communicate professionally with homeowners and project stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and installation standards.

Optional Job Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in security systems: wiring, setup, programming, troubleshooting, setup monitoring services (Honeywell, DSC)
• 3-5 years experience in CCTV systems: wiring, design, setup, troubleshooting
• 3-5 years experience in structure wiring: cabling, terminations, testing
