Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Whitakers, NC seeks a Control Systems Engineer to design and optimize Rockwell PLC-based solutions, including motion and safety programming. Proficiency with Studio 5000 and HMI tools is essential, with favorable knowledge of Siemens Step 7 and Cognex/Keyence vision systems.

The role covers installation, technical support, and mentoring of junior engineers, plus collaboration with a cross-functional team to transform assembly/machining processes.

Qualifications

Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix systems and motion/ladder logic.
Proficiency in Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View Studio.
Understanding of PLC hardware and communication protocols.

Responsibilities

Develops and designs control systems and bench tests; modifies software and equipment to meet specs.
Installs and provides technical support for PLC hardware and software; mentors less experienced engineers.
Collaborates with plant engineers to improve processes and equipment; supports production as needed.
