Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Whitakers, NC seeks an Engineer in Technology to design and implement Rockwell PLC/HMI solutions, collaborate on plant transformations, and mentor junior engineers. The role demands hands-on control systems design, bench testing, and strong understanding of hardware, software, and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has experience with Rockwell/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, and related PLC/HMI/MES programming.

Formación

• Rockwell Automation ControlLogix system design experience, including motion, ladder logic, and safety programming.
• Siemens Step7 or other PLC version experience is desired.
• Function block and structured text programming is desired but not required.
• Proficient in Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Proficient in Rockwell FactoryTalk View Studio.
• Understand PLC hardware and communication protocols.
• Machine Safety Systems.
• Preferred: Robotic Systems: Fanuc and Nachi.
• Preferred: Vision Systems Cognex, Keyence and Coherix.
• Preferred: Fanuc PMC ladder in CNC equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and designs control systems; develops and implements bench tests; alters software and equipment to ensure that sensors and actuators are functioning according to specifications; supports and debugs complex problems and change requests.
• Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. Coaches and mentors less experienced Controls Engineers.
• Support Control activities for transformations in the Assembly and/or Machining areas as needed; collaborate with other engineering disciplines to improve processes and equipment; drive programming, network, architecture, hardware and documentation standards for new equipment; perform PLC, HMI and MES programming changes; provide production support as needed.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develops and designs control systems; develops and implements bench tests; alters software and equipment to ensure that sensors and actuators are functioning according to specifications; supports and debugs complex problems and change requests.
• Responsible for the installation and technical support of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based hardware and software. Coaches and mentors are less experienced Controls Engineers
• Support Control activities for RMEP, CEP and CMEP Plant transformation in the Assembly, and or Machining areas as needed. This will include:
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines in the plant to develop and improve processes and equipment in the plant.
  • Work with equipment suppliers and drive programming, network, architecture, hardware and documentation standards for new equipment.
  • PLC, HMI and MES Programming Changes
  • Production support as needed.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $125,000 per year
