Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Capability Lead – Controls Systems to join our growing team in Reston, VA. This role focuses on leading a multi-disciplinary group, delivering flagship programs, and solving advanced engineering challenges while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will drive staff development, manage technical activities, and align resources to deliver complex projects. The position requires a strong engineering background and leadership to advance Rolls-Royce capabilities

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in control systems engineering and project leadership.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex technical programs.
Experience aligning staff to program goals and squad deliverables.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop assigned personnel to meet current and future business needs, including managers and specialists.
Deploy staff to work packages and approve technical activities within accountability.
Plan load/capacity and ensure SQEP availability to complete program deliverables with MSPs when needed.
Be accountable for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) measures for the group.
Drive and implement the Engineering strategy and secure leadership support for its execution.
Ensure lifecycle processes compliance and effective use of tools and automation across the group.
