Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in the United States seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead automation and control system projects for major clients. You will collaborate with engineers, vendors, and operations to deliver high‑quality solutions on time and within budget.

You will manage tasks from design through startup, mentor junior staff, and grow the controls and automation practice in your local office while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in automation design and programming.
• Experience with electrical control systems for process industries.
• Proficient with Rockwell hardware/software.
• Experience with Siemens, AVEVA, GE software/hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks across hardware, PLC/HMI, SCADA, and power design.
• Oversee project execution: proposals, estimating, scheduling, finances.
• Maintain facilities use and equipment.
• Lead and grow controls and automation in the local office.
• Maintain client relationships.
• Mentor and guide professionals; provide feedback and career guidance.
• Provide quarterly reports to partners.
• Coordinate with finance for reporting.
• Support company culture and leadership.
