Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

We are currently seeking a Career Control/Process Operator (BURNER) for our Mooresville, IN plant on rotating Day/night shift

What You Will Do:

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Operate heavy equipment safely to transport raw materials or finished products throughout the facility
• Comply with all safety rules, procedures, and government regulations. Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections
• Maintain strong communication with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring safety and efficiency
• Maintain the bowl mill and cooler area
• Perform work area inspections and document discrepancies, including heavy equipment checks
• Guide less experienced operators
• Monitor production flow and maintain proper temperature and process speed
• Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in continuous production
• Monitor controls such as meters, gauges, valves, and temperatures to ensure specifications are met
• Report malfunctions, make minor repairs, and adjust equipment as needed
• Follow all safety practices and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs/ladders/catwalks up to 60 feet, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• On-the-job training
• Experience operating front end loader, bobcat, and dump truck
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Thorough understanding of the production process

Working Conditions and Physical Environment:

While most equipment is air-conditioned, some responsibilities require working in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty environments.
