Job description

Scrap Metal Services, L.L.C., a scrap metal recycling and processing company, seeks Burners for its Mill Services site in Coatesville, PA. This is a 24/7 operation with multiple shifts.

Job Duties:

1. Examine and cut metal of various sizes down to specified dimensions using an oxygen/gas torch.
2. Inspect equipment and follow company safety and environmental standards.
3. Perform inspections of the equipment to ensure it is in proper working order prior to operating (e.g., gas and oxygen regulators, hoses, and hand torch).
4. Clean, store, and maintain assigned PPE and equipment.
5. Assist with yard/facility cleanup and maintenance.

Other Skills:

1. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and all weather conditions (rain, snow, cold, heat).
2. Self-directed: able to identify and move to the next work area after completing scrap processing in a specific area without explicit instructions.
