Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication and Assembly Technician for first shift production in Houston, TX. The technician will follow shop drawings to drill, cut, grind, assemble, and install devices onto control panels in accordance with shop standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year in metal working tools, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to pass physical/drug/background checks. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year or more of experience in metal working tools required.
• US work authorization without sponsorship required.
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required.
• Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required.
• Ability to stoop and bend required.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required.
• Excellent manual dexterity required.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings.
• Layout device locations on stainless and mild steel enclosures.
• Use plasma cutter, jig saw, grinder, drills, and hole saws to make cutouts for devices.
• Install din rail, wire duct, equipment, terminal blocks, and nameplates.
• Ensure project quality is within the specification.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform tasks within quoted hours for each project.
• Customer site work as needed.
