Job summary

George E. Booth Co., Inc, a family-owned industrial automation sales company, seeks a full-time Control Panel Builder for our Greenwood Panel Shop.

You will assemble and wire control panels per schematics, read electrical diagrams, and mount components to meet project specs, with occasional customer-site travel. Responsibilities include testing finished panels, maintaining a clean work area, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics is required.
• Experience with hand and power tools and wiring techniques.
• 3–5 years in panel building or electrical assembly preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to schematics and layout drawings.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Mount components such as circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, and terminal blocks.
• Perform precise wiring and labeling to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Inspect and test completed panels for functionality and adherence to customer requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition.
• Report any issues or need for repairs promptly.
• Follow all safety standards and company procedures.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in building custom control panels by interpreting electrical schematics, wiring components, and ensuring quality standards are met. This person will also maintain a clean and organized production area, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

This position is based primarily in our Greenwood Panel Shop, with occasional travel to customer locations during normal business hours. A clean driving record is required. We offer a competitive compensation plan and excellent benefits.

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail.
