Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an onsite, non-remote role that requires relocation to either Indiana or Illinois. The ideal candidate will have PLC, HMI, SCADA experience, ideally within the food and beverage industry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving automated systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and helping drive the continuous development of critical control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with control systems and automation equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems into manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and improve automated processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and industry regulations, particularly those specific to food and beverage manufacturing.
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Controls Engineering role, ideally in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong experience with PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation in food or beverage production environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to Indiana or Illinois.
