Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a qualified candidate to manage moderate complexity contract packages for infrastructure projects. The role involves forming, tendering, awarding and administering contracts, with pre-award activities such as RFT package creation and bid evaluation.

Initially based in a Bechtel office, the position may mobilize to the project site. Requires a bachelor's degree and 10–13 years (or 14–17 years) of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of contract management and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders.
• Thorough knowledge in contract formation and administration.
• Extensive knowledge of contract management and negotiations.
• Knowledge of when to engage legal counsel and standard contracting practices in engineering/construction.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Award: Develops and issues contracts and services agreements; forms RFT packages.
• Issues bid requests to bidders; prepares evaluation criteria.
• Manages tender questions and bid responses; conducts commercial evaluations.
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and Overall Recommendation to Award subject Contract.
• Post-Award: Administers contracts and maintains progress reporting; coordinates with project staff.
• Leads in resolution of contractual discussions of moderate complexity.
