Position Overview

Contract Specialist / Contract Manager / Paralegal (Contract Role)

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Contract Length: 14 Weeks (June 16 – September 19)

Extension Potential: Additional 4 weeks (November 10 – December 5)

Hourly Rate: $40-$50/hr USD

A dynamic and collaborative legal team is seeking a Contract Specialist / Contract Manager / Paralegal for a short-term contract role supporting commercial legal operations. This is a non-lawyer position ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in contracts and legal operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Review, draft, and negotiate standard agreements, including vendor/contractor agreements, SOWs, NDAs, order forms, and amendments.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle using internal tools and systems (e.g., approval platforms, e-signature tools, and document management platforms).
• Create and manage reports using Excel or Google Sheets based on data from internal legal ticketing tools.
• Oversee contract review queues, send signature requests, and maintain organized contract records.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, HR, Security, and other teams to ensure appropriate reviews and approvals.
• Identify and escalate business or legal issues in contracts to attorneys and stakeholders.
• Support improvements to contract management processes and template documents.
• Assist with additional legal team functions, including corporate governance, immigration, and special projects.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in contracts management or as a paralegal with contract review and drafting responsibilities.
• Familiarity with common contract types (NDAs, SOWs, MSAs, Amendments, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and responsive approach to internal client needs.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in an in-house legal department, especially within the tech industry.
• Familiarity with contract management tools.
• Background in procurement or contract negotiation.
• Exposure to privacy and data compliance issues.
