The role requires 5+ years, SMSTS/CSCS, strong leadership, and a full UK driving licence; you’ll manage contracts from planning to handover, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and site teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Contracts Manager within construction or roofing.
• SMSTS and CSCS essential.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and teams at once.
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers, and site teams.
• Solid understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication throughout.
• Track contract progress, budgets, and programme, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all work meets health and safety regulations and company quality standards.
• Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep contracts on time and on budget.
• Provide site-based oversight alongside office-based planning and coordination.

Contracts Manager - Roofing Contractor
Salford, working across the Northwest
£45,000-£50,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance

Our client is a growing, family-run roofing contractor based in Salford, delivering commercial flat and pitched roofing projects across the Northwest. They're proud of their reputation for quality and the way they look after their people, and they're looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to help them continue that growth.

About the Role

You'll manage a portfolio of commercial roofing contracts (flat and pitched) from initial planning through to completion, splitting your time between the Salford office and project sites across the region. This role comes with genuine autonomy, you'll be trusted to run your contracts your way, backed by a supportive and experienced team.
