Job summary

Ames Construction, based in Corona, CA, is seeking a Contracts Administrator to manage project agreements, purchase orders, amendments, and closeout documentation for heavy civil initiatives. You will coordinate with project teams and support groups to document requirements and align obligations with owner, agency, and company rules.

The role requires 3–7 years in subcontract or contract administration, a bachelor's degree, and proficiency with Excel and contract management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with heavy civil projects and project agreements.
• Familiar with owner flow-down provisions, change orders, and liens.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and contract management systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer project agreements, purchase orders, amendments, and closeout docs.
• Ensure subcontract terms include required owner and agency provisions.
• Identify subcontract risks related to scope, insurance, and bonding.
• Maintain complete subcontract files and logs.
• Track deliverables, licenses, certifications, insurance, and payroll compliance.
• Process change orders and notices with project teams.
• Support disputes, audits, and closeout negotiations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Legal, Risk, and Procurement.
• Assist with project audits and final closeout documentation.
