Job Description
CORG Management is seeking a Contracts Administrator/Assistant Project Manager for our Federal and State Construction Program.
This position will support construction activities nationwide, assisting onsite Construction Program Managers, Project Managers, and Joint Venture Partners by completing administrative and project management tasks from our corporate office in Atlanta, GA.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers to determine scope of work requirements.
- Assemble teams of sub-contractors.
- Assist with estimating and ensure estimates and scope of work are accurate.
- Ensure purchase orders are prepared.
- Prepare submittals for owner approval.
- Adhere to standard project estimation, approval, and change control processes.
- Define project management plans, including roles and responsibilities.
- Prepare payment applications.
- Manage safety, scope, schedule, quality, resources, and budget.
- Identify issues and risks; develop approaches to minimize and mitigate them.
- Report project status to stakeholders.
- Submit progress reports.
- Ensure invoices are submitted timely.
- Control sub-contractors’ scope and ensure they are paid.
- Resolve conflicts and escalate issues when necessary.
- Create and manage estimated costs versus actual expenditures.
- Develop work breakdown structures and schedules.
- Manage and supervise project team resources.
- Control scope and schedule changes through a formal change management process.
- Assist with delivering the final punch list and project completion.
- Ensure payment applications are submitted on schedule and payments received.
Experience and Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in commercial and/or military construction/renovation.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or construction management preferred.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical parties.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Department of Defense projects is preferred.
- Experience reviewing Product Data Submittals, Shop Drawings, and Demo Plans is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Projects required.
