Ledgent Technology in Weston, FL seeks a Staff Application Software Engineer (Contractor) to join an established robotics team and deliver production-ready software for robotic-assisted surgery. You will design and implement solutions while collaborating with engineers and subject matter experts in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes strong C++/OO skills, independence, and experience with Qt/QML, Linux, Docker, and SDLC practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
4+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in C++ and OOP in a production environment.

Responsabilités

Learn and understand existing architecture, codebase, and development workflows.
Design and develop application software components per defined requirements and architectural standards.
Follow established coding standards, design principles, and best practices.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, component testing, code analysis, and defect management activities.
Create and maintain software engineering documentation in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
Communicate project progress, technical decisions, risks, and challenges effectively.
