Job summary

Stryker is seeking an experienced Staff Application Software Engineer (Contractor) to ramp up quickly and deliver production-ready code for robotic-assisted surgery products. You will design and implement software with C++ in a team, following Agile SDLC and best practices to ensure safe, robust, and user-friendly applications.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of production experience in C++/OOP, a Bachelor's degree in software/CS, and familiarity with SDL/QA processes, Qt/QML, Linux, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and Object-Oriented Programming in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand existing architecture, codebase, and development workflows.
• Design and develop application software components per requirements and architecture.
• Collaborate with Project Management and engineers to ensure project success.
• Follow SDLC procedures with code review, testing, and defect management.
• Document software engineering activities per R&D procedures.
• Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly.
