Marvins Building Materials Inc in Arab, AL is seeking a Contractor Sales Representative to build successful relationships with contractors, builders, remodelers and professional customers. You will prospect for new business, provide expert product recommendations and prepare quotes to win projects.

You will coordinate deliveries, manage quotes and orders, and stay informed on competitors while maintaining sales goals. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of sales experience in building materials, lumber, hardware or a related industry preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Professional, dependable and customer-focused.
• Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders and work in a store, yard, warehouse and jobsites.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

We’re looking for a Contractor Sales Representative who knows their way around lumber, hardware and building materials and knows how to turn that knowledge into sales.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
2–3+ years of sales experience in building materials, lumber, hardware or a related
industry preferred.
Experience working with contractors, builders or remodelers strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of lumber, building materials and general hardware.
Blueprint reading, residential construction or material takeoff experience is a plus.
Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable making sales calls and developing new business.
Professional, dependable and customer-focused.
