Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Contractor Sales Representative to grow sales in our Arab, AL store. You will engage with contractors, builders and remodelers, recommending products and turning knowledge into orders.

You will prospect new customers, prepare quotes, coordinate deliveries and drive gross margins. Strong knowledge of lumber, hardware and building materials helps you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of sales experience in building materials or related industry.

We’re looking for a Contractor Sales Representative who knows their way around lumber, hardware and building materials and knows how to turn that knowledge into sales.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3+ years of sales experience in building materials, lumber, hardware or a related industry preferred.
• Experience working with contractors, builders or remodelers strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of lumber, building materials and general hardware.
• Blueprint reading, residential construction or material takeoff experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable making sales calls and developing new business.
• Professional, dependable and customer-focused.
• Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders and work in a store, yard, warehouse and jobsites.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
