Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) seeks a facilities and contracts leader to oversee RTD’s contracted services at operating and public facilities. You will monitor performance, ensure compliance, and guide improvements across safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate with Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and other departments, lead reporting, and drive cost-effective maintenance strategies while representing RTD in interagency and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in transit facilities operations and maintenance, contract management, or related public-sector service environment.
• Experience overseeing contracted services, performance monitoring, and contract compliance with internal/external stakeholders.
• Budgeting, cost estimating, and expenditure tracking.
• Colorado driver’s license required; ability to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities for RTD’s contracted services at operating and public facilities, ensuring contract and policy compliance.
• Liaises with contracted maintenance providers; monitors performance and adherence to obligations and safety standards.
• Develops procurement strategies and contract documentation; defines scopes of work and cost estimates.
• Collects and analyzes data; monitors KPIs like reliability, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Represents RTD on owners’ associations and coordinates with internal departments to align maintenance with RTD priorities.
