Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor in Colorado to oversee operations, safety, and maintenance of assigned facilities. Responsibilities include managing contracted services and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires budgeting, staff recruitment, scheduling, and adherence to OSHA/EPA and local codes. A bachelors degree in a related field and 3+ years of facilities experience are preferred, with 24/7 availability expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in facility maintenance, such as construction management, engineering, facility management or related field preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in facilities maintenance with commercial/industrial electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.
• Minimum two years of experience in contract administration and procurement, including scope of work, specifications, procurement and tracking project costs.
• Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory role, union environment preferred.
• Minimum one year experience building and monitoring budgets; long-range expenditure forecasting and variance reporting.
• Must have a valid Colorado drivers license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include 24-7 call.
• Proficient in best practices for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, civil/site maintenance and ability to analyze and adjust practices.
• Proficient with OSHA, EPA and local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures.
• Evaluates quality and efficiency of work and holds employees accountable for performance of their responsibilities.
• Responsible for safety, cleanliness, and functionality of assigned facilities; manages contracted services including scope, selection, administration, performance management, and scheduling.
• Creates and monitors the annual budget for assigned facilities and explains variances; participates in procurement of materials and services.
• Provides planning and support for design and construction of facilities and facility equipment as well as preventative maintenance.
• Coordinates with internal personnel and contracted services for snow removal and landscape maintenance; ensures work meets standards and contractual requirements.
• Performs all job-related duties as assigned
