Job summary

Sapience AI is seeking a Web Designer on contract to own our website from strategy through execution and ongoing maintenance. You will lead the full design process yourself, from audit and ideation through a finished, published site, and you will lead conversations to obtain content needed to build it.

The role reports to the Head of Marketing Communications and collaborates with brand, launch, and content teams to deliver a cohesive online presence. This contract runs through December 18, 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showing website work led from strategy to published site.
• Experience in HTML5 development and Google infrastructure.
• Experience with SEO and AI-driven search optimization.
• Strong design instincts with ability to defend concepts.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage end-to-end build and ongoing maintenance.
• Available full time for the duration through Dec 18, 2026.
• Based in Pacific Time, Seattle area preferred, able to commute monthly for reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own website strategy and execution end-to-end, from audit to published site.
• Lead industry and competitive design audits for market grounding.
• Partner on design framework and shape creative direction.
• Define page goals and outline required artwork and content.
• Turn outlines into concepts and guide rounds of review.
• Build the site in HTML5 from structure to polish.
• Implement SEO foundations into structure and pages.
• Collaborate with engineering on HubSpot connection.
• Coordinate with content/brand to secure copy and imagery.
• Run customer testing and revise site based on feedback.
• Publish the site by the December 9 live date and monitor traffic.
