Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. seeks a Contract Utility Forester to protect communities and power delivery while managing vegetation in outdoor settings. You will work directly with utility clients, property owners, and contractors on safe, sustainable vegetation practices across diverse landscapes.

The role emphasizes innovation, safety, and professional development with opportunities to grow within a nationwide team. Valid driver’s license and field readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field; 2+ years experience in utility line clearance.
• ISA Certified Arborist/Utility Specialist within first year preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data; include tree species, size, distance from conductors.
• Validate data across databases to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Verify that summaries and charts reflect underlying datasets.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in work areas.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment; service trucks and equipment.
