Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester to join our vegetation management team in Georgia. You will work outdoors, assess sites, perform pruning and clearance tasks, and coordinate with landowners and clients to ensure safe, compliant vegetation work near energy corridors.

The role emphasizes safety, ISA pruning techniques, and proactive communication with stakeholders, with opportunities for training and certification support.

Qualifications

• Experience in electric utility vegetation management in the field.
• Degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of tree identification and landowner communications.
• Proficiency with GIS, MS Office and mobile tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors and identify vegetation actions per client standards.
• Conduct tree risk assessments and apply ISA/ANSI pruning principles.
• Engage landowners and agencies to obtain permissions and explain work plans.
• Audit contractor work for compliance with client specs.
• Coordinate non-routine work and report safety concerns.
