Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to manage vegetation for utilities in outdoor settings nationwide.

The role reports to project teams, travels to job sites, and partners with property owners and contractors to ensure safe, compliant vegetation management. Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field and 2+ years experience in utility line clearance.
• Species identification skills and invasive species knowledge.
• Knowledge of utility line clearance concepts and ISA certification within first year.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning/removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data (species, size, distance).
• Validate data across databases for reporting.
• Verify that charts reflect underlying datasets.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards at work sites.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Service trucks and equipment; keep them tidy.
